On Saturday I started the day (after doing my usual livestock duties) with fruitcakes. No, I wasn't encountering Ukippers. I was actually at the Sunniside Methodist Church fair. It's always a good place to buy plants and fruitcakes. Alice, the lady who makes the cakes, reminded me that they can keep for up to 18 months. So far we are half way through it. I doubt it will still be here in 18 days' time!
