Just when constituents thought it was safe to go out...

The elections are over, leaflets have been written, printed and delivered, polling day is not for another year. Just when constituents thought it was safe to go out.....

So what have I done this lunchtime? - written a couple of street letters for delivery tomorrow! And there are more to follow this weekend.

And now for more nightmares that NEW Labour have made for you/us to face Jonathan.

When the ODPM announced the pathfinder scheme policy initially the plan was 1.5 million homes across England and Wales to get demolished and the land sold off to private companies to build bought houses with a similar spec to the ones that'd just been demolished. It's in effect a massive state subsidy to the building industry. The figure has been revised down to a mere 400k homes, there's little doubt the target remains much greater.

"The Liberal Democrat housing spokesman, Dan Rogerson, said: "Forcing people out of their homes won't solve the crisis in social housing, but it will divide neighbourhoods. Our housing estates need a mix of backgrounds and incomes if we're to build and preserve genuine communities."
